Jim Edwardson, owner and healthcare consultant 

Jim is a certified medical practice executive through the Medical Group Management Association. Jim has over 30 years of experience in group practice management and healthcare administration. Jim provides consultation in several areas of the medical field; these range from accounts receivable management and clean up, ancillary revenue opportunities, credentialing, managed care contracting, practice management, and medical billing.

 

Lonnie Faulkner, CPA

Lonnie is the Chief Financial Officer for VSPR and oversees financial consulting and accounting services for VSPR clients . Lonnie is a graduate of University of Texas at Arlington and has a BBA in Accounting and a MBA in Finance. He has over 30 years of accounting experience ranging from public accounting "Big 4" to serving as a CFO in the healthcare, service and manufacturing industries. 


Theresa Ward, CPC, Billing Manager 

Theresa is a professional coder certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical field as a medical practice manager, with a special focus on coding and billing. Theresa began her medical career as a receptionist in a large, multi-specialty clinic and then moved on to manage a dermatology office for 10 years. In 2003 she was instrumental in assisting a new OB/GYN physician develop and grow his practice, where she remained another 10 years. She has extensive experience and knowledge in the complete medical revenue cycle and obtained her ICD-10 certification through AAPC.


Virginia Koutsoumbaris, CPC, CPMA 

Virginia is our South Texas Regional Director and Consultant.  Virginia has over 29 years of experience as a medical practice manager, with extensive training in Revenue Cycle Management and Documentation compliance.  She joined the VSPR team in August 2016.   Her experience spans several specialties including OB/Gyn, Dermatology and Endocrinology, Rheumatology and Family Practice.  Virginia is a Certified Professional Coder and Medical Auditor through the American Academy of Professional Coders.  As a certified auditor she is able to evaluate charts for proper documentation and coding and share those results with the physician to assist in best billing practices and compliance.  She has comprehensive knowledge of EMR and PM systems to include eClinicalworks, Medisoft, Medical Manager, Open Practice, Sevocity and others.  


​Nhu N. Ha, BBA Accounting Manager

Nhu has over 14 years of combined accounting and healthcare experience at the staff and management accounting levels as well as over 6 years as a Pharmacy Technician.  Her career has been focused on small to mid-size medical practices with revenues in the 1 to 20 million dollar range.  Nhu is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.  She began her healthcare accounting career as a Staff Accountant and progressed quickly to the Senior Accountant level at a large single specialty group practice in DFW. She joined Vital Signs Physician Resources, VSPR, in April of 2016 as our Accounting Manager. Nhu has been a full cycle healthcare accountant for over 10 years and along with serving as VSPR’s Accounting Manager, she has Controller duties for one of VSPR’s largest clients and provides accounting and financial consulting to new and current VSPR clients as needed.
Nhu’s software experience includes MS Office, Intuit Certified QuickBook User, Peachtree, Sage Intergy – Practice Management Software and e-Clinical Works.


Amy Campbell, CPCS, B.S.H.A Director of Credentialing

Amy is a certified provider credentialing specialist through the NAMSS (National Association of Medical Staff Services) organization.  She is also a member of the state chapter TSMSS (Texas Society for Medical Staff Services).  Amy is a graduate of Colorado State University and has a Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration & Management.  Amy has over 10 years of experience in the medical field; managing credentialing processes in group practices, solo practices, hospital settings, managed care, and large physician staffing companies.  She has extensive knowledge of all accrediting bodies:  TJC, TMHP, Medicare CoP, NCQA, CAQH, DNV, HFAP, URAC, and AAAHC.
